Better yet, a gold star and a PURPLE star!
I just had to throw that bonus word in. It was the winning word that yours truly spelled correctly in a spelling bee that was held a few years ago to benefit the local literacy council in my community.
(I didn't get a purple star though...)
***SPECIAL ADDITION TO TODAY'S POST***
I am again honored by Chris at CC-Chronicles in being presented with the "Dragon's Loyalty Award." Chris created this award herself, and in her words, is "...an award for the loyal fan/commenter, whether the recipient is a fellow blogger or just a someone who follows and comments regularly."
I've already added it to the right under "Awards." Take a peek - isn't it beautifully done? Stay tuned - I will be passing this award on in the near future!
AND....
after reading Chris's comment here ---
I am also the recipient of "The Quest Award," given to "new" bloggers! I am just SO thrilled - honored - and very humbled.
What a fantastic day this is! "Friday Fun" sure ended up to be a good idea for today's post!! WOO HOO!
I messed up on the bonus! But I actually got the other ten correct. All those years of Spellcheck correcting me...
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of "electroluminescence" but I guessed the correct spelling. Got all the others right, too. Neat idea for a proofreader's post, Crystal.

Diane and Marvin - Wow I'm impressed! You both get a gold AND a purple star! Yes, just like in school!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment, Marvin. I thought it would be a fun and different post!
I missed #2 of all things. LOL, double letters get me everytime.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the award. You deserve it!
PS you don't even want to know how log it took me to do the graphic. Lots of cutting and pasting and starting over.
You got the new blogger award too, go back and look IT's called "The Quest"
ReplyDeleteI got them all right! WOOT!
ReplyDeleteThe word I almost always misspell is "definitely." For some reason, my brain really wants that second i to be an a instead.
Chris,
ReplyDeleteFor anyone who knows me, for me to say I'm speechless is somewhat of an oxymoron. I am literally so honored and thrilled. Both of these awards hold such meaning for me.
Thank you so very much.
As for the spelling, for YOU to miss #2? It's just that you were up so late last night tweaking those awards!
Gold and Purple stars to you too! :)
Not Nessie - GREAT JOB! I'm impressed, especially to those who get the bonus word!
ReplyDeleteOoh..."definitely" would have been a good one to include here! A lot of people misspell that one!
Gold and Purple stars for you!
That bonus word is a doozy! A couple of these words I usually have to write down and just stare at them for a bit to figure if I spelled them correctly. This was fun! Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Jo-Jo! Glad you enjoyed today's post!
ReplyDeleteYay! Gold AND purple stars! And kudos on the well deserved award, Crystal!
ReplyDeleteMarvin D Wilson
You're the recipient of the Dragon's Loyalty Award today - because you're definitely my most loyal commenter!!!
ReplyDeleteDiane I am SO honored! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I got them all! But spelling has always been my thing. I won the county spelling bee when I was a kid! LOL.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun exercise!
Woohoo! 100% (I even got the bonus word).
ReplyDeleteWell, Miss masters degree (almost), I wouldn't have expected less from YOU, my friend! Aren't you excited to get a gold AND a purple star??? LOL!
